its been 3 months

I didn't think it'll take that long for my 3rd blog post. I have however resolved to stop talking about the blogging it self and actually... erm blog! :)

So to start off I'm going to write about all the social media marketing activities we are doing at WSO2. Just a hint of the different avenues we are trying out for now and I'll go deeper, in the posts to come.

#1. Twitter: micro blogging really and a neat way to post a quick link to bigger better things. Main thing is to get as many people to follow you. You can do that by following people and hope that they follow you back! So please follow WSO2 on Twitter and we promise to follow you back ;)

#2. Facebook: This is more of a social networking site but who says you can't use it to do a bit of marketing! WSO2 has got a group with almost a 150 members and growing. We post stuff about upcoming events and releases to keep everyone updated on whats going on in WSO2 land. oh and we've also got a bunch of pictures up there on all our activities like Basketball championships. Do check it out and join us!

#3. Linkedin: The professional's social network. Meaning, while FB is more about your personal life, Linkedin is who and what you have accomplished career wise. And as WSO2 is a professional organization we've got a groupthere too. Still exploring how we can use this as a marketing communications tool though. Will keep you posted once we figure it out proper.

#4. Youtube: covering all that is visually appealing. We upload a bunch of screencasts that show you how to do cool things with our products. Also coming up will be some interviews etc on technology. Ideal for those who don't want to read long articles but want to learn something fast.

Well that about covers the main 4 mediums. We also do a lot of blogging and articles writing and doing personal releases, all in the hope of letting people know that here's a cool company doing cool things! :)

getting started

...that's the hardest part!

This is my third attempt of starting a blog and this time around I'm determined to see this through.

I really don't know what has been holding me back as all these bloggable thoughts keep popping into my head. I think the fact that people will now know whats going on in my head (yikes!) is the daunting factor! :)

Anyways lets see if the phrases on the third time being lucky and a charm and what not are really true....
